Wisconsin Football to Host Highly-Touted 4-Star RB on Recruiting Visit
The Wisconsin football program will open its doors for four-star RB Byron Louis this weekend.
The Wisconsin Badgers football program is gearing up for a big junior day, with several high priorities in the 2025 cycle set to make their way down to Madison.
After adding Darrion Dupree, Dilin Jones, and Gideon Ituka in the 2024 class, running back may not be the biggest position of need for Wisconsin. However, the Badgers are still heavily pursuing some highly-touted tailback talent.
One of those prospects is four-star RB Byron Louis, who took to social media to announce he would make his way down to Madison for junior day.

Wisconsin Football to Host Four-Star RB Byron Louis on Recruiting Visit
According to the industry-generated composite rankings, Louis is the No. 182 player in the nation, the No. 16 RB, and the No. 26 player in Florida.
The Fort Lauderdale native has amassed 27 total offers, but he announced his top 10 choices in December. Wisconsin made the cut alongside some of the nation’s top programs, including Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, Oklahoma, Miami, Tennessee, Penn State, and USC.
Louis is coming off of a standout junior season at American Heritage High School, where 2024 signee Xavier Lucas attended. In his third season on varsity, Louis totaled 1,224 yards and 18 touchdowns on 160 carries, good for an average of 7.7 yards per carry and 102 yards per game.
The four-star tailback has made multiple visits to Miami as well as a junior day visit with Florida State, but UW will be next in line as he makes his rounds. UW will have its QB in the 2025 class, Landyn Locke, on campus for some help on the recruiting front, and it will be interesting to see if Locke and the Wisconsin football staff can work some magic on Louis.
It’s worth noting that Ohio State currently holds a Crystal Ball with a confidence level of “6” for Louis’ services, but that prediction was cast in November.
Wisconsin is after some other strong tailback prospects, including Tory Blaylock, Iverson Howard, and Isaiah West. With some highly-touted talent on the Badgers’ big board, it will be worth watching if UW can reel any of them in.
As it stands, the Wisconsin football program holds seven commitments in the 2025 class, good for the No. 10 class in the country, per the composite rankings.
