Wisconsin Badgers volleyball fans are going to want to set a reminder in their phone for this one, folks.

On Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m CT, tickets for the Women’s College Volleyball Showcase will go on sale online. The Labor Day event will take place at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee and feature the Badgers (finished last season ranked No. 3), border rivals Minnesota (receiving votes), defending national champion Texas (No. 1, duh), and top-five Stanford (No. 5).

If you can’t get tickets, all matches will be aired nationally on FOX and FS1 which rules for any of us who don’t live in Wisconsin anymore. Here is the schedule (all times CT) of all four games:

Sunday, Sept. 1
11:30 a.m.: Wisconsin vs. Texas
2 p.m.: Minnesota vs. Stanford

Monday, Sept. 2

4 p.m.: Wisconsin vs. Stanford
6:30 p.m.: Minnesota vs. Texas

This will be a weekend of matches brimming with implications. On their way to the national title last season, the Longhorns beat Stanford in the Elite 8 and then the Wisconsin Badgers volley in the Final Four. It also a weekend of college volleyball blue bloods as, per a release:

“The four programs have combined for 14 national championships, 17 runner-up finishes and 48 Final Four appearances since 1981. The teams have combined to win six of the last eight national championships and at least one of the four has appeared in every Final Four since 2012.”

Wisconsin is 4-5 all-time against the Longhorns, with three of their matchups coming in the NCAA Tournament, while UW has never beaten Staford in five previous tries. Four of the matches with the Cardinal have been in the postseason and the last time they played each other in the regular season, the year was 1993.

The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball program has made the Final Four in four of the past five seasons and you have to assume that part of the reason why is that they schedule so aggressively in the non-conference.
