Former Wisconsin football star Braelon Allen is officially in the NFL.

Allen will be heading to New York after the Jets drafted him with the 134th pick in the NFL Draft.

Wisconsin fans have known since his first season that Braelon Allen was destined to play in the NFL. He re-classified from the 2022 recruiting class to 2021. He was just 17 years old during his true freshman season where he ran for 1,268 yards and 12 touchdowns. He finished third in the Big Ten in rushing yards that season, earning him second-team All-Big Ten honors.

From that point on, Wisconsin football fans knew they would need to appreciate having Braelon Allen in a Badgers uniform for as long as they could because he was going to the NFL sooner than later.

In 2023, Allen played in a spread offense for the first time under Phil Longo, running for 984 yards and 12 touchdowns while catching 28 passes for 132 yards for a total of 1,116 from scrimmage en route to second-team All-Big Ten honors.

During his time in Madison, the star tailback totaled 3,494 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns. He will finish his Wisconsin football career ranked ninth in career rushing yards and 11th in rushing touchdowns.

Braelon Allen joins a running back room in New York with Breece Hall. In this situation, I think Allen has a great chance to see some carries this year.
