Wisconsin Football OL Recruiting Target Announces Commitment Details
A newly offered Badgers target is set to announce his commitment soon.
A three-star Wisconsin football recruiting target announced on Tuesday morning that his commitment is on the horizon.
Jack Shaffer, a North Dakota native, took to social media to announce that he will announce his commitment tomorrow, Wednesday April 24th, at 2:30 PM CST.
Wisconsin landed in the top five alongside Kansas State, Duke, Iowa State, and North Dakota State.
Announcing my commitment tomorrow at 2:30 at Bismarck High school (in the foyer by the auditorium). Thank you to all the coaches and schools who have taken the time to recruit and believe in me, invite me to camps, coach me and show me there college! It’s been a great experience! pic.twitter.com/YLfdpBc9qv

According to the 247Sports rankings, Shaffer is rated as the No. 64 OT in the country and the No. 2 player in North Dakota.
Shaffer visited Wisconsin just over a week ago. While in Madison, he picked up an offer from offensive line coach AJ Blazek.
“It feels great because it took a bit to get this offer,” Shaffer told Badgernotes when asked what it meant to receive an offer from UW. “It wasn’t just a couple of phone calls. It’s been a long recruitment process, and it felt great finally getting it.”
The 6-foot-6, 315-pound tackle took home unanimous All-State honors after a strong junior season at Bismarck High School.
It’s worth noting that Iowa State is the Crystal Ball favorite for Shaffer’s services, so I wouldn’t get hopes up too high for the Badgers to land their second offensive line commit.
UW currently holds a verbal commitment from in-state standout Michael Roeske in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The Badgers are also targeting other offensive linemen, including Jack Lange, Rowan Byrne, and Darrin Strey.
The Wisconsin football program has eight commitments in the 2025 cycle, good for the No. 21 recruiting class in the nation per the composite rankings.
