The Wisconsin football program secured a spot in the top choices for a three-star defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class.

Drayden Pavey, an Ohio native, took to social media to announce his final three, listing the Badgers alongside Indiana and Purdue.

According to the composite rankings, Pavey is the No. 939 player in the country, the No. 91 DL, and the No. 36 player in Ohio.

Things have been moving quickly between Pavey and the Badgers in recent weeks. Defensive line coach EJ Whitlow extended an offer to the three-star prospect during his visit at Wisconsin’s tenth spring practice, becoming the 19th school to offer.

Shortly after receiving the offer, Pavey locked in an official visit with the Badgers for June 14th. UW will be second in line on his schedule, with a trip planned to Purdue on June 7th and a visit with Indiana following his stop in Madison.

In his junior season at Taft High School, the 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive lineman recorded 46 tackles, 9.0 TFLs, and 7.5 sacks.

Pavey is among the top defensive line targets for Wisconsin in the 2025 class. UW has yet to add a defensive lineman in the cycle, but they’re in the mix for several prospects, such as Gordy Sulfsted, Kade Pietrzak, and Brad Fitzgibbon.

The Wisconsin football program currently holds nine commitments in the 2025 recruiting cycle, which comes in as the No. 20 class in the country per the composite rankings.
