Wisconsin Football Recruiting: 4-Star TE Commits to Badgers

After having its 2024 recruiting class cut in half last week, Wisconsin football landed another blue-chip recruit. Grant Stec committed to the Badgers after head coach Luke Fickell telegraphed the commitment with his signature bat signal Tweet.

Stec, a four-star recruit according to the 247Sports composite rankings, is the highest-rated tight-end prospect to ever commit to Wisconsin. Nationally, Stec is the tenth highest-rated tight-end prospect in the 2024 class. He committed after visiting Madison this past weekend.

The Algonquin, Illinois-native measures in at 6’6″ and 220 pounds. Stec holds 15 total FBS scholarship offers. He has offers from fellow Big Ten schools, Minnesota, Illinois, Purdue, Rutgers, Penn State, and Michigan State.

Wisconsin football has made recruiting highly-rated tight-end prospects a priority. In the transfer portal and from traditional high-school recruiting, the Badgers continue to seek talented athletes for offensive coordinator Phil Longo’s air raid offense. Stec’s commitment is the latest sign that Wisconsin is serious about providing its array of blue-chip quarterback prospects with talented receiving options.
