Wisconsin Badgers football

It’s been a busy few days in Wisconsin football news. Not to worry, BadgerNotes has you covered with all the latest UW news.

Wisconsin football hires RB coach

The Badgers brought on a new running back coach on Friday evening, with former Youngstown State running backs coach Devon Spalding entering the program.

Spalding was a member of Luke Fickell’s staff in Cincinnati. Before moving to Youngstown State, he was with the Bearcats for one season in 2019.

The young coach heads to Madison after two successful seasons with the Penguins of Youngstown State. He’ll lead the running back tandem of Braelon Allen and Chez Mellusi in the reimagined offense for 2023.

Wisconsin football offers four-star RB

Wisconsin football offered a 2025 four-star running back on Thursday. Tory Blaylock took to Twitter to announce Wisconsin re-offered him.

Blaylock, a Texas native, is among the best running backs in 2025. The four-star recruit is the 47th-ranked player in the class, the fifth-ranked running back, and the eighth-ranked player in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Blaylock holds over 30 offers, with notable schools such as Ohio State, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Oregon in the mix. It will be a challenging recruitment for UW, but they’ve thrown their hat in the ring for the exciting young prospect.

Junior Day Second Weekend

Wisconsin football will host 14 recruits today for the second junior day weekend.

The Badgers hosted multiple intriguing recruits last Saturday and now have a chance to entice some more young talent. One player expected to be on Campus is Grant Stec, a four-star tight end out of Illinois. According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, Wisconsin is the favorite to land Stec.

Wisconsin has already brought out all of the stops for recruiting on the 2024 trail. Now UW will have the chance to give its best sales pitch to these young prospects for a second weekend.
