Luke Fickell and the University of Wisconsin football program kicked off their weekend with a big addition to the 2025 class on the recruiting trail.

Four-star defensive back Jaimier Scott announced on social media that he was committing to the Wisconsin Badgers over reported scholarship offers from Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State, and Purdue, among countless others.

According to the composite recruiting rankings, Scott is the No. 328 player in the country, the No. 20 ATH, and the No. 12 player in Ohio. He’s expected to begin his Wisconsin football career as a safety.

Four-star outside defensive back Jaimier Scott took a visit to Madison when the Wisconsin football program hosted junior day and decided to shut down his recruitment shortly after that.

Scott finished his junior season at Mt. Healthy High School with 53 tackles, two interceptions, and eight pass break-ups on defense while compiling 817 all-purpose yards on offense. He scored nine total touchdowns.

The 6-foot-1 defensive back has good size, speed, and physicality that should fit in nicely as a safety on the back end or even at a boundary cornerback in the Wisconsin Badgers defense if needed. There’s plenty of versatility in Scott’s game.

Scott is now the Wisconsin football program’s sixth known commit in the 2025 recruiting class, joining quarterback Landyn Locke, linebacker Cooper Catalano, defensive back Remington Moss, offensive tackle Michael Roeske, and safety Cody Haddad.
