Wisconsin Badgers Offer 2025 4-Star Sack Artist From Texas

In their pursuit of defensive line talent, the Wisconsin Badgers football staff has set their recruiting sights on Texas. 

Four-star defensive lineman Landon Rink, hailing from Cypress, Texas, is the latest prospect to receive an offer from the Badgers. Rink announced this development on social media following an offer from defensive line coach Greg Scruggs.

Rink boasts an impressive list of scholarship offers, including notable schools like Texas, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, LSU, Oregon, Penn State, USC, TCU, Stanford, Ohio State, and Oklahoma, among others.

It’s worth noting that Rink’s father, Shane, played football at Texas from 1991 to 1995. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 270 pounds, Rink is not just a football standout but also a two-sport athlete excelling in track and field, particularly in the shot put.

Wisconsin Football Offers 4-Star Defensive Lineman Landon Rink

The standout defensive lineman had a phenomenal junior season, earning first-team All-District honors with a remarkable stat line. Landon Rink recorded 70 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, and an impressive 15 sacks.

Looking back at the Wisconsin Badgers’ recent recruiting success, they secured three defensive linemen in the 2024 class, notably flipping four-star Dillan Johnson from Northwestern and signing four-star Ernest Willor on National Signing Day. This concluded the class with three promising players at the position, including three-star Hank Weber.

With their attention now on the 2025 class, the Wisconsin Badgers continue their pursuit of top-tier talent in an effort to overhaul this room.
