The Wisconsin football program is off to a hot start in the 2025 recruiting cycle, as the Badgers currently hold six commitments after four-star ATH Jaimier Scott gave his verbal pledge on Saturday

UW also added three-star ATH Cody Haddad to its recruiting class earlier this week, but some programs are still keeping tabs on the Ohio native. On Saturday, Haddad took to social media to announce that he had received a pair of offers from Big Ten programs, with Ohio State and Iowa extending a scholarship.

According to the industry-generated composite rankings, Haddad is the No. 457 player in the nation, the No. 31 ATH, and the No. 15 player in Ohio.

Haddad’s recruitment was picking up steam around the time of his commitment. After receiving interest from a few MAC schools early on, the St Ignatius High School standout picked up offers from Purdue, Nebraska, Cincinnati, Kansas, and Boston College, among others. Haddad also announced an offer from Texas A&M on Saturday, marking his 19th offer.

Haddad is projected to play safety at the next level, and his primary recruiter was former Badgers safeties coach/co-defensive coordinator Colin Hitschler, who was hired by Kalen DeBoer and Alabama earlier this week. With Hitschler exiting the program, it will be interesting to see if Luke Fickell and company can retain Haddad’s pledge.

UW holds multiple defensive back commits in the 2025 cycle, with Jaimier Scott, Remington Moss, and Haddad all on board. With the upcoming final seasons with Hunter Wohler and Kamo’i Latu, getting some depth at the position looks to be a point of emphasis.

As it stands, the Wisconsin football program currently holds the No. 9 recruiting class in the nation, according to the 247Sports rankings.
