Wisconsin Badgers a Team to Watch for Alabama DL Transfer
The Badgers are in the mix for another transfer defensive lineman.
Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers football program need to add defensive line help through the transfer portal in the worst way.
The Badgers have either offered or been connected to several options this offseason but haven’t added anyone yet. After completely rebuilding its linebacking corps, the attention has shifted to the trenches.
Adam Friedman, a Rivals recruiting analyst, reported that Ohio State, Wisconsin, Texas A&M, and South Carolina are the teams to watch for Alabama’s defensive line transfer Monkell Goodwine.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, has two seasons of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
Wisconsin Badgers in the Mix for Alabama Transfer Monkell Goodwine
The Wisconsin football team has lost Rodas Johnson and Darian Varner from its already thin defensive line room this offseason. Although the Badgers are expected to return James Thompson Jr., Curt Neal, and Ben Barten, this staff wants six or more players capable of rotating in.
Monkell Goodwine was a former four-star defensive tackle out of Rock Creek Christian Academy in the 2021 recruiting class. He appeared in five games during his career with the Crimson Tide, playing just 13 snaps.
The Wisconsin Badgers have two four-star defensive linemen entering the football program: Ernest Willor and Dillan Johnson, who are expected to push for time, but adding a few veteran bodies will be a must.
It’ll be worth monitoring to see if the Badgers can secure a visit with the Alabama product.
