The University of Wisconsin football coaching staff knows the importance of their junior day recruiting visits. It’s a chance to welcome some of the Wisconsin Badgers’ top targets to Madison and help paint the picture of what life might be like should they choose to don the Cardinal and White.

When junior day rolls around in January, they’ll have their top-of-the-board in-state target on campus.

A source shared with BadgerNotes.com that four-star offensive tackle Owen Strebig will be among the recruits who are in attendance.

According to the industry composite rankings, Strebig is the No. 124 player in the nation, the No. 12 OT, and the No. 1 player in Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin football team was recently named one of the top 11 schools remaining in Owen Strebig’s recruiting process, alongside Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Florida State, USC, Missouri, Florida, Notre Dame, Miami, and UCF.

The 6-foot-8, 300-pound offensive tackle has taken unofficial visits to most of the schools on his list, but Notre Dame and Wisconsin are considered the early favorites to land his services.

Strebig and 2024 composite four-star offensive guard Donovan Harbour made up the left side of the Catholic Memorial High School offensive line and paved the way for four-star running back Corey Smith. Harbour and Smith are both Penn State commits.

Wisconsin football currently holds four commits in the 2025 recruiting class, good for the No. 16 in the country, according to 247Sports.

The Wisconsin Badgers have landed in-state talents like inside linebacker Cooper Catalano and offensive tackle Michael Roeske thus far. They also have quarterback Landyn Locke (TX) and defensive back Remington Moss (VA) in the fold.
