The Wisconsin Badgers football program has already made waves on the 2025 recruiting trail. UW currently holds seven commitments in the cycle, good for the No. 9 recruiting class the country, and was named as a finalist for multiple standout prospects.

Four-star blue-chip LB trimmed down his list of schools on Thursday, and the Badgers made the cut alongside Ohio State, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Duke, per a report by On3.

According to the industry-generated composite rankings, Sacca is the No. 173 player in the nation, the No. 21 LB, and the No. 4 player in Pennsylvania.

Wisconsin Football Lands in Top Five for Four-Star LB Anthony Sacca

Sacca has amassed 25 total offers. Some high-profile schools to miss the cut include Georgia, Florida State, Michigan, Oregon, Texas A&M, USC, Miami, Penn State, and many others.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker has some Big Ten football lineage, as his father played quarterback at Penn State, and his uncle played QB at Rutgers. Sacca also has a connection to Wisconsin with 2024 Badgers signee Omillio Agard, as the two were teammates at St. Joseph’s Prep School in Philadelphia.

The four-star prospect made the switch from safety to linebacker in his junior campaign. On film, Sacca stands out with his speed and coverage ability due to his experience in the secondary, but he also possesses a strong tackling ability with physicality at the point of attack and an understanding that the low man wins.

This recruitment will be worth closely monitoring from here on out, especially considering his connection with Agard.

The Wisconsin football program currently holds two linebacker commits in the 2025 cycle from in-state standout Cooper Catalano and three-star Brenden Anes.
