Wisconsin Football Picks Up Crystal Ball for Three-Star EDGE Recruit
The Wisconsin football program is well-positioned for a commitment from a three-star LB in the 2025 class.
The Wisconsin football program is off to a hot start in the 2025 recruiting cycle, as the Badgers currently hold seven commitments, good for the No. 9 class in the nation.
Junior days have been a big success early for UW. The Badgers picked up commitments from Cody Haddad, Jaimier Scott, and Brenden Anes off the heels of their visits. Wisconsin’s latest round of visits is seemingly trending in a positive direction as well.
Samuel Lateju, a three-star linebacker, wrapped up a junior day with UW last weekend. Shortly after, a Crystal Ball prediction was cast for the New Jersey native to land with the Badgers.

Wisconsin Football Picks Up a Crystal Ball for Three-Star LB Samuel Lateju
Lateju is ranked as the No. 66 EDGE in the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 24 player in New Jersey.
Lateju was initially recruited by former safeties coach Colin Hitschler, who left the Wisconsin football program for the same role with Kalen DeBoer at Alabama. Despite his exodus, the Badgers staff has kept themselves well-positioned for Lateju’s services.
Lateju has tallied 11 total offers, with Maryland, Syracuse, Pitt, Duke, West Virginia, Wake Forest, James Madison, Kent State, Boston College, and Charlotte also throwing their hats in the ring.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound EDGE was a teammate of 2024 Badgers signee Raphael Dunn at The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. His junior tape shows he already possesses the athletic measurables to pair with twitchiness, physicality, and technique to be a potential impact player.
Should this prediction hold true, Lateju would join fellow outside linebacker Brenden Anes in the Wisconsin football program’s 2025 recruiting class.
