Wisconsin Badgers football lands 2025 linebacker Brenden Anes.

Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football recruiting department crushed their junior day visits with their plan A targets in the 2025 class.

Three-star linebacker Brenden Anes from Franklin, Tennessee, announced on social media that he was committing to the Wisconsin Badgers over reported scholarship offers from Vanderbilt, Duke, Indiana, Liberty, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Memphis, and several other schools.

Anes was one of four prospects that visited Madison for the first round of junior day visits. Cody Haddad and Jaimier Scott have also committed to the University of Wisconsin shortly after those visits.

The composite recruiting rankings have Anes, a three-star prospect, listed as the No. 63 linebacker in the nation and the No. 30 player in Tennessee.

The Wisconsin football program is on an absolute heater on the recruiting trail right now.

Outside linebackers coach Mike Mitchell served as the lead recruiter for Brenden Anes and discovered a player with the versatility to play inside or out in the Badgers defensive scheme.

Per MaxPreps, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker finished his junior season at Fred J Page High School with 90 tackles, 18 TFLs, 5.5 sacks, three interceptions, and two pass deflections.

Anes is now the Wisconsin football program’s seventh known commit in the 2025 recruiting class, joining quarterback Landyn Locke, linebacker Cooper Catalano, defensive back Remington Moss, offensive tackle Michael Roeske, safety Cody Haddad, and safety Jaimier Scott.

According to the composite rankings, the Wisconsin Badgers have the No. 10 recruiting class in the country after the addition of Anes.
