Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin football program has been active in the 2025 recruiting cycle, extending offers to nearly 90 prospects. The latest offer was intriguing, as Wisconsin offered 2025 quarterback Landyn Locke.
The standout from Rockwall, Texas, took to Twitter to announce the offer.
The last name may ring some bells, as Landyn’s older brother Braedyn is currently on the Badgers roster. Braedyn gave a shoutout to his younger brother following the news.

Landyn is currently unranked on recruiting services, but he has picked up some steam as of late. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound QB has received offers from SMU, Tulsa, and Western Kentucky over the last two weeks.
Locke got his first chance on varsity in week two of the 2022-23 season after Rockwall’s starting QB suffered an injury. Locke was brought up from JV to fill in as a backup and earned some reps off the bench. On his first pass, the sophomore connected for a touchdown.
Rockwall head coach Trey Brooks discussed Landyn’s play with Dallas News after his first varsity snaps.
“We threw a play action pass on Braedyn’s first play as a varsity player, too. But his pass didn’t look quite as good as Landyn’s. It was about 10 feet over the head of Jaxson Smith-Njigba, and Landyn’s was a touchdown.”
Locke would see limited time on varsity following that game but finished with 159 yards and a touchdown while completing 13 of 23 pass attempts, according to MaxPreps.
Locke is an intriguing prospect with plenty of room to grow. With his familial ties, the Badgers could be in a good spot to land the Texas native.
The Wisconsin football program is yet to pick up a commitment in the 2025 class.
