Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin Badgers football staff has offered yet another fantastic safety as they continue to look to bolster their defensive presence.

CJ Jimcoily of Nashville, Tennessee is a 2025 four-star recruit who currently attends Lipscomb Academy. Jimcoily ranks as the eighth overall player in the state of Tennessee and the 15th safety in the class. The defensive back also ranks as the 221st recruit nationally boasting 22 scholarship offers as a rising Junior.

Wisconsin Enters 2025 Recruiting Extravaganza

The talented defensive back out of Tennessee comes in at 6-foot-3-inches, 190-pounds, with an impressive boost of speed. Jimcoily has the ability to play both corner back and safety, and likely will play each position at the next level. The lengthy defensive back is excellent in coverage whether he lines up in front of the receiver or sits over top. This past season as a Sophomore, Jimcoily solidified himself as a shutdown defender with plenty of acrobatic plays on the ball.

Currently, Jimcoily has only made two college visits with both belonging to SEC powerhouses Auburn and Kentucky. Jimcoily has yet to make any other visits, nor has he announced any future visits. However, the Wisconsin football team has been eager to get the talented defensive back onto campus ahead of his Junior season. Jimcoily has yet to make a visit this year, but with the Badgers joining in on his recruitment, that may change.

Coach Luke Fickell has been eager to get as many recruits on campus as he can. In the mind of Fickell, recruits can only understand the inner workings of the program if they experience them first-hand. The environment that Fickell and the Badgers have created is hard to say no to, which many recruits have discovered during this recruiting cycle.

Wisconsin Badgers Recruiting: Will CJ Jimcoily Become a Badger In the Future?

The exceptional defensive back currently has 22 scholarship offers, as previously mentioned. Michigan, Nebraska, Penn State, and Purdue have been some of the programs in contact with the recruit recently. The Florida Gators have also jumped onto the recruiting trail after offering Jimcoily a scholarship last week. The Tennessee Volunteers have also been actively recruiting Jimcoily over the last few months.

Recently, the Volunteers received a prediction to land the defensive back after discussing a potential visit. The Wisconsin Badgers football team will have quite the battle ahead of them for an incredible prospect.
