Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin football program has been actively recruiting running backs in the 2024 cycle. Although they missed out on the No. 1 running back in the state, the Badgers have set their sights on some top tailback talent. Now, UW is preparing to host one of the premier running backs in the 2024 class.

Four-star RB Dilin Jones has set an official visit with Wisconsin, according to a report by Brian Dohn of 247Sports. The Badgers will get the first crack at the top-15 running back on June 16th before he visits Florida State, Virginia Tech, and Maryland.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Jones is the No. 170 player in the nation, the No. 11 running back, and the No. 3 player in Maryland.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound tailback currently holds 13 offers. Wisconsin joins Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Liberty, Marshall, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and West Virginia as schools to offer a scholarship.

Last season, Jones received MaxPreps Junior All-American second-team honors. On top of that, the Maryland native was the WCAC Player of the Year. His best performance came against St. Joseph Regional, where he notched 151 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries.

Jones has impressed in camps recently, as he was named the top performer at the Under Armour All-America Camp. When asked about the contenders in his recruitment, Jones listed Wisconsin, Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Florida State as top options.

The Wisconsin football program has already secured eight commitments in the 2024 cycle. The Badgers are yet to pick up a running back, but if Jones commits, he’ll be an excellent fit for the program.
