The future of the Wisconsin football team is looking brighter with every passing day, and the coaching staff is already looking ahead at some potential difference-makers on the recruiting trail.

On Saturday morning, the Badgers officially extended a scholarship offer to 2027 cornerback Larry Moon III from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This young and promising talent is already making waves on the East Coast, holding early offers from other Power 5 programs like Maryland, Penn State, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia.

Wisconsin Football Extends a Scholarship Offer to 2027 CB Recruit Larry Moon III.

Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 170 pounds, Larry Moon III hails from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, and he’s catching the attention of college football programs nationwide with his advanced skill set and upside.

As the third known scholarship offer for Wisconsin football in the 2027 recruiting class, Moon III joins the ranks of other promising young talents, including quarterback Trent Seaborn and running back Brayden Tyson, to garner early attention from the Badgers.

While Moon III is still several years away from making his college decision, the early recognition by Wisconsin is a testament to his abilities and the impact he could bring to the Badgers. Cornerbacks are a critical part of the defensive system Luke Fickell wants to run, and Moon III’s talent certainly piqued the interest of the Wisconsin football coaching staff.

It’s also worth noting that Moon III is quite possibly a Nittany Lions lean. He has taken three unofficial visits to Penn State thus far. Additionally, he attended a camp at Penn State in July.

With the Wisconsin Badgers showing a keen interest in Larry Moon III, it’s clear that the program is focused on identifying and building relationships with top talents from an early stage.

As the 2027 recruiting class continues to take shape for the Badgers coaching staff & recruiting department, Moon III’s scholarship offer marks an exciting player to monitor for the future of Wisconsin football.
