Recruiting Roundup: New Visits, RB Commitment, and More for Wisconsin Football
There’s no shortage of things to discuss regarding Wisconsin football recruiting, so here are some highlights from the past few days.
A hot topic of conversation over the weekend for Wisconsin football was the commitment of in-state Gatorade Player of the Year Wynn Stang.
Stang, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound tailback, accepted a preferred walk-on spot from the Badgers, who extended the offer in December. His only other known offer was a PWO offer from Purdue.

Per 247Sports, the Wisconsin native is a two-star prospect and the No. 16 rated player in the state. Last season, Stang led Mukwonago to the Division 1 State Championship while registering 2,756 yards and an eye-popping 42 touchdowns.
Although he didn’t rack up any scholarship offers, Stang is an intriguing talent worth adding to the Wisconsin football program. Last season, he was a First Team All-State selection, the MaxPreps Player of the Year, and the Elroy Hirsch Award recipient as Wisconsin’s top senior running back.
Badgers Make the Cut for a Talented 2024 Safety
This past week, three-star safety Kaj Sanders out of Ordadell, New Jersey, released a top 10 list of Notre Dame, Syracuse, Rutgers, Penn State, Michigan State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Miami, and the Wisconsin football program.
I would like to thank all the coaches that have extended scholarship offers to me. I’m blessed and grateful always. With that being said these are the main 10 schools I will be focusing on. @bccoachvito @RivalsFriedman @RivalsRichie @BrianDohn247 @ShawnB_247 @TodderickHunt pic.twitter.com/2julj8tSXP

According to 247Sports, Sanders, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back, is the No. 43 S in the country and the No. 9 player in New Jersey. The belief is that UW sees Sanders as a safety/nickel hybrid player on defense.
Sanders will take an official visit to Madison on May 30 (his first trip to Wisconsin) and plans to announce his commitment on July 30.
Wisconsin Football Locks in Official Visit for Top 2024 DL Target
The Wisconsin football program has made its presence known in the Chicagoland area over the past two recruiting cycles. Thus far, Kyan Berry-Johnson and Grant Stec are already in the fold, could three-star defensive lineman Dillan Johnson be next?
According to a report by Allen Trieu of 247Sports, Johnson locked in two official visits for this summer—one with Northwestern on May 12 and the other with Wisconsin on June 2.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Johnson is the No. 84 defensive lineman in the 2024 class and the No. 18 player in Illinois.
It’s worth noting that Greg Scruggs has been working his ass off to get Johnson into the fold. The 6-foot-2, 287-pound defensive lineman has made two unofficial visits to Madison during the spring.
