Wisconsin Football: Top WR Recruit Reveals Commitment Details

Wisconsin Badgers football

Wisconsin football has yet to show any signs of slowing down on the recruiting trail. Before June, the Badgers had eight commitments in the 2024 recruiting class. Now, just two weeks later, that number is up to 14. It has been an impressive stretch for the new staff in Madison. The Badgers expect to add more members to their class this week; will one of their top-rated wide receivers be one?

College Football Recruiting: 4-Star WR Announces Commitment Details

Last week, I’Marion Stewart announced he would be committing on June 16th. Today, he released the details of his upcoming decision.

The speedy wide receiver has been a target for UW dating back to Paul Chryst’s tenure as head coach. Under the previous regime, Stewart did not reciprocate interest with the Badgers. However, the arrival of offensive coordinator Phil Longo and the air raid offense has given Wisconsin a chance at landing the Chicagoland native.

Stewart, a four-star prospect per the 247Sports Composite rankings, has taken two official visits. He visited Madison the weekend of June 2nd and Michigan the weekend of June 9th. The official visit with Jim Harbaugh capped off a handful of visits the six-foot junior has made to Ann Arbor. Various insiders for the major recruiting outlets have predicted Stewart to commit to the Wolverines.

Can Wisconsin Football Recruiting Upset the Michigan Wolverines?

If Wisconsin football can pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat for this one, it will likely be due to a wide receiver already committed to UW.

Kyan Berry-Johnson committed to the Badgers in April. The three-star wide receiver has a close relationship with Stewart. Before Stewart transferred to play prep football at Chicago powerhouse Kenwood Academy, the two played together at Bolingbrook High School. If Wisconsin can surprise industry experts on Friday, Berry-Johnson may be the key reason why.
