The Wisconsin football program has been in hot pursuit of in-state four-star OL Owen Strebig as the Badgers look to retool their offensive line under new OL coach AJ Blazek.

The Catholic Memorial High School standout recently made his way down to Madison on a recruiting visit. During his time with UW, Strebig received the news from Packers offensive lineman Yosh Nijman that he would represent Green Bay and the state of Wisconsin for the Nike Next Ones event in Las Vegas.

Strebig will make the trip to Las Vegas during the week of Super Bowl 58, where he will participate in several special events and an elite camp alongside some other top high school recruits. Each NFL team will have the opportunity to send one or multiple prospects to the event.

According to the industry-generated composite rankings, Strebig is the No. 127 player in the nation, the No. 13 OT, and the No. 1 player in Wisconsin.

The Waukesha native has totaled 25 offers, with Rutgers and Northwestern being the most recent schools to extend an offer. UW has hosted Strebig multiple times, with his most recent visit coming just two weeks ago, but they have a battle on their hands with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to reel in the four-star prospect.

Wisconsin made Strebig’s top-11 choices last month alongside Michigan, Notre Dame, Illinois, Iowa, Florida State, USC, Missouri, Florida, Miami, and UCF. Adding the 6-foot-8, 295-pound lineman would be huge, considering the Badgers already hold a commitment from another in-state OL, Michael Roeske

As it stands, the Wisconsin football program currently holds commitments from Cooper Catalano, Cody Haddad, Michael Roeske, Jaimier Scott, Remington Moss, Landyn Locke, and Brenden Anes in the 2025 cycle, good for the No. 10 recruiting class in the nation.

Congratulations to Strebig on this huge honor and opportunity.
