Wisconsin Football Program Loses a 2024 Badgers Commitment
Wisconsin football is parting ways with one of its recruits in the 2024 recruiting class.
The Wisconsin football coaching staff faced a setback on the recruiting trail as three-star safety Kahmir Prescott announced his de-commitment from the Badgers on Thursday.
Prescott, initially the eighth commit for Wisconsin in the 2024 class, revealed his decision on social media, marking a departure from the program after committing back in late April. Co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Colin Hitschler served as the lead recruiter for Prescott.
I would like to announce I will be decommiting from the University Of Wisconsin and my recruitment is now 100% back open. @BrianDohn247 @RivalsFriedman

His commitment to the Badgers initially came over scholarship offers from programs like Penn State, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Boston College, Nebraska, Syracuse, Texas A&M, Colorado, and many others.
Wisconsin Football and Kahmir Prescott Parting Ways
The separation between Kahmir Prescott and the Wisconsin football team signals a mutual parting, with the Badgers coaching staff opting to go a different direction. Sources indicate this split has been in the works for some time now — and was to be expected.
This decision empowers Prescott to explore the best potential landing spot for his future before National Signing Day. The early signing period is later this month.
Raphael Dunn, hailing from Lawrenceville, N.J., is the Wisconsin football program’s only remaining safety commit for the 2024 recruiting class. Despite losing Prescott, the Wisconsin Badgers maintain 20 verbal commitments that are expected to sign in late December.
