The Wisconsin football program had a successful first round of junior day recruiting visits, securing commitments from three 2025 Badgers visitors.

During the first weekend in February, the Wisconsin Badgers will welcome a more extensive slate of visitors, with one player in particular having a noteworthy connection to a current player who recently enrolled.

Four-star wide receiver Quanell X Farrakhan Jr., a high school teammate of Badgers quarterback Mabrey Mettauer at The Woodlands, is among the headliners on the guest list, an insider verified to Badgernotes.com.

As a junior, Farrakhan Jr. caught 52 passes for 820 yards and 12 scores. Additionally, the 6-foot, 170-pound wideout ran the ball 12 times for 100 yards and five touchdowns on the ground, per MaxPreps.

Wisconsin Football Targeting 4-Star WR Quanell Farrakhan Jr.

Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program landing a recruiting visit with Quanell Farrakhan Jr. is significant because right now, he’s considered a Penn State lean and even has a crystal ball from 247Sports.

According to the composite rankings, Farrakhan Jr. is considered the No. 252 player in the 2025 recruiting class, the No. 32 wide receiver in the country, and the No. 43 player in Texas.

As it stands, the Texas native currently holds scholarship offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Auburn, Georgia, Penn State, Miami, Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska, and many other Power 4 programs. He earned his offer from the Badgers this past October.

How quickly he can build a relationship with Wisconsin football wide receivers coach Kenny Guiton will play a significant role, but Mabrey Mettauer has done his part to help sell the school as well.
