The Wisconsin football program has picked up a transfer commitment from Cincinnati long snapper transfer Cayson Pfeiffer.

Pfeiffer will be on a scholarship with Wisconsin, with former Badgers long snapper Peter Bowden on the way out and former walk-on Keane Bessert entering the transfer portal today.

Wisconsin Football Lands Commitment from Cincinnati Long Snapper in the Transfer Portal

The Badgers have been active in the portal early. UW was involved in one of the wildest transfer portal stories ever and is currently in the mix for some standout quarterback talent. Pfeiffer marks the second transfer commitment for Wisconsin after a whirlwind of news in the past week.

Pfeiffer comes to Madison with three years of experience as the primary long snapper for Cincinnati. The former Bearcat entered the 2023 season snapping in 37 contests, playing in every game from 2020-2022 after redshirting his freshman year. In his 2022 campaign, Pfeiffer was a part of one of the best special teams units in the country, snapping for third-team All-American Mason Fletcher, who had the second-highest punting average in the nation with 44.8 yards per punt.

The former Cincinnati long snapper will play his last year of eligibility with the Badgers and Luke Fickell.

Pfeiffer joins former Syracuse LB Leon Lowery Jr as the sole transfer commitments for the Wisconsin football program at this time.
