A few weeks removed from wide receivers coach Mike Brown exiting the Wisconsin football program for a job at Notre Dame, the Badgers have filled the vacancy.

According to a report by Football Scoop, Wisconsin is set to add Arkansas wide receivers coach/interim offensive coordinator Kenny Guiton to coach the same position at UW.

Guiton spent the last three years with the Razorbacks.

Wisconsin Football Adds Kenny Guiton as Next WR Coach

Guiton will reunite with Luke Fickell in Madison, as the former Arkansas WR coach spent his college days at Ohio State when Fickell was on staff. During his time with the Buckeyes, Guiton played in 22 games, completing 89 of 134 pass attempts for 893 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He had a brief stint in the NFL before playing in the Arena Football League.

Guiton joined the Arkansas coaching staff in 2021 as the wide receivers coach after stints at Houston, Colorado State, and Louisiana Tech. He was promoted to the interim offensive coordinator position during the 2023 season after Dan Enos was fired following a 7-3 loss to extend a six-game losing streak.

Guiton oversaw some strong receiver groups in three seasons. In 2021, he led a receiving group, highlighted by current Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks, that averaged nearly 214 yards per game through the air. In 2022, Guiton coached the receivers in an offense that totaled over 6,000 yards on the year. Under his direction, Jadon Haselwood recorded 702 yards and three touchdowns on the year, while Matt Landers logged 901 yards and eight touchdowns.

The former Arkansas wide receivers coach also made a massive impact in recruiting during his time with the program. With Guiton’s help, the Razorbacks were able to reel in multiple four-star receivers, including Isaiah Sategna in 2022, Davion Dozier in 2023, and Ashton Bethel-Roman in the 2024 cycle.

With a strong resume on the recruiting trail and leading some solid receiving groups, Guiton is a strong hire for the Wisconsin Badgers football program.
