Commitment to the Wisconsin Football Program
Anelu Lafaele committed to Wisconsin on July 11 with one of the greatest commitment announcements of all time.

Before selecting UW, the Honolulu native picked up 17 total offers, with notable schools like Washington, Oregon, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Colorado, Oregon State, Hawaii, and many others throwing their hats in the ring for Lafaele’s services.
Lafaele has the tools to make an immediate impact to Wisconsin’s pass rush, a group that mustered up just 9.5 sacks in 2023. With his athleticism, quick reaction time, and hard-hitting nature, the Honolulu native fits the mold of a player that Mike Tressel’s defensive scheme is designed for. With some rather thin depth, Lafaele will have the opportunity to earn some time in camps.
