First-year Badgers head coach Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program are in the midst of a promising 2024 recruiting cycle

According to the latest 247Sports national recruiting rankings, Wisconsin currently boasts the No. 24 recruiting class in the entire country.

This marks a substantial leap forward in the rankings, as the Badgers finished with the No. 58 spot a year ago. To me, this clearly indicates that Wisconsin football is gaining momentum on the recruiting trail.

Where Wisconsin Football Lands Among Big Ten Team’s in Recruiting Rankings.

Within the Big Ten conference, the Wisconsin Badgers 2024 recruiting class currently stands at No. 6.

While they are making significant progress in landing promising talent, they are looking up at some powerhouse programs. Ohio State, with the No. 2 ranking, Oregon at No. 10, Penn State at No. 14, Michigan at No. 15, and USC at No. 19, are all ahead of Wisconsin football.

This competitive environment in the conference, which will only get more complex, drives the Badgers brass to collect the resources necessary to elevate their recruiting efforts.

Diving into the quality of recruits, according to the 247Sports prospect rankings, Wisconsin has successfully secured commitments from six four-star prospects. This feat has given them a blue-chip ratio of 28 percent, signifying their ability to attract high-impact players to the program.

The Badgers have laid a strong foundation for their 2024 recruiting class under the leadership of Luke Fickell in his inaugural year. The early successes on the recruiting front signal a bright future for Wisconsin football.
