With Lucas’ commitment, Wisconsin now holds 21 commits in the 2024 recruiting class.
Wisconsin climbed the recruiting leaderboards after bringing Lucas on board. Here’s a look at where Wisconsin stands in the national rankings on major recruiting services.
Wisconsin Football Climbs the Recruiting Rankings
According to the 247Sports national recruiting rankings, Wisconsin now holds the No. 23 recruiting class in the country. UW made a big jump after Lucas’ commitment, as they held the No. 27 recruiting class in the nation before he came on board.
Wisconsin’s recruiting class is good for No. 5 in the Big Ten. Ohio State (No. 2), Michigan (No. 6), Penn State (No. 8), and Nebraska (No. 22) are all currently ahead of UW.
According to the 247Sports prospect rankings, Wisconsin has seven four-star recruits, a blue chip ratio of 33 percent.
On the Rivals recruiting rankings, Wisconsin is even higher, currently holding the No. 17 class in the country and the No. 4 class in the Big Ten, landing ahead of Nebraska.
Per Rivals, Wisconsin has a whopping ten four-star players. Omillio Agard and Darrion Dupree, who share a 5.9 rating, are the highest-ranked players in the class.
Wisconsin has built a standout recruiting class in year one under Luke Fickell. If this is how Fickell has started his tenure, the future of Wisconsin football recruiting looks bright.
