Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling MAN OF THE MAT at Virginia Duals
Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling MAN OF THE MAT Award
The intent of this prestigious, almost Hodge-like, Award is to highlight a wrestler from the Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling team that had the most outstanding performance from the event.
The only Badgers wrestler faced with two ranked matches at the Virginia Duals, Max Maylor did what Max Maylor does – he wins!
Time after time Max Maylor answers the bell for the Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling program and Friday and Saturday were no exception.
After quickly dispatching No. 29 Tate Picklo of Oklahoma by a 12–1 major decision – he followed that up with a 2–1 sudden victory over No. 13 Justin McCoy of Virginia.
Following this dominant performance – Max Maylor is the MAN OF THE MAT for his performance at Virginia Duals.
Previous Winners of the MAN OF THE MAT:
Lindenwood – Felix Lettini
Michigan State Open – Luke Condon
No. 10 Iowa State – NO SELECTION
Bucknell – Max Maylor
Rider – Joseph Zargo
Drexel – Dean Hamiti
Midlands Championships – Shane Liegel
