Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling MAN OF THE MAT Award vs. Drexel
Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling MAN OF THE MAT Award
The intent of this prestigious, almost Hodge-like, Award is to highlight a wrestler from the Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling team that had the most outstanding performance from the event.
No. 6 Dean Hamiti continues to impress. Bumping up from 165 pounds to 174 pounds sounds easy, but theoretically, those are longer, stronger and heavier athletes and Hamiti continues to dominate them.
While an argument could be made that he should have won this award every time, Dean Hamiti is the MAN OF THE MAT vs. Drexel.
After winning by 15–4 major decision earlier in the day vs. Rider, Hamiti came out on fire and scorched the mat en route to a 18–3 technical fall in his match vs. Drexel.
