Following an official visit to Madison, the Badgers received a verbal commitment from former Toledo Rockets cornerback Ronald Delancy over reported offers from Auburn and Memphis.

The 6-foot, 185-pound cornerback began his career at Nebraska but transferred and played in 38 games the last three seasons while at Toledo. During his junior season, he registered 28 tackles, 10 pass deflections, and an interception.
He’ll have one year of eligibility remaining with the Badgers.
Wisconsin Badgers Add CB Ronald Delancy From the Transfer Portal
Odds are, this is the Wisconsin Badgers replacement for Jason Maitre in the starting slot cornerback role.
Ronald Delancy earned a Pro Football Focus grade of 85.1 this past season, which is borderline elite. He also offers the size this staff wants at cornerback and has experience playing both the slot and boundary spots.

The Miami, Florida native joins a Wisconsin football secondary that returns starters Ricardo Hallman and Nyzier Fourqurean, along with returning depth options like Michael Mack and Jonas Duclona.
Delancy’s arrival will allow young Wisconsin Badgers players like Amare Snowden, Jace Arnold, and incoming freshman Omillio Agard, Xavier Lucas, and Jay Harper the necessary time to develop before being thrust into action.
