Interception leaders under Mike Tressel have come from all over the field. The past three defenses coordinated by Tressel have had an interception leader from safety, linebacker, and cornerback. In a defense that can generate interceptions from all over, who better to pick to lead that statistic than the do-it-all man himself?

Hunter Wohler is taking on the dollar role in Tressel’s defense. The Muskego native showcased his ability in spring practice. Whether acting as a ball-hawking middle-of-the-field defensive back or stepping up in the box to stuff the run, the six-foot-two-inch 200-pound safety has proven he is up to the task.

Frankly, the former consensus four-star recruit may have the highest ceiling of anyone on defense for Wisconsin football this season. His natural athletic ability makes him an under-the-radar candidate for an all-Big Ten caliber season.
