Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin football program has been on a roll of commitments with the official visit season underway.

The Badgers picked up four commitments last week, with Vernon Woodward, Hank Weber, Kevin Heywood, and Ryan Cory coming on board. However, they didn’t stop there, as three-star ATH Raphael Dunn and three-star OT Colin Cubberly committed shortly after the second official visit weekend.

The new regime shows no signs of slowing down. Wisconsin is forecasted to land several more prospects, including multiple of their top targets. Here’s a look at which recruits will likely commit to UW soon.

Three-star RB Gideon Ituka

Wisconsin is expected to take multiple running backs in the 2024 cycle, with Braelon Allen and Chez Mellusi’s departures likely on the horizon. Luckily, the Badgers have positioned themselves at the top of the pack for three-star RB Gideon Ituka.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Ituka is the No. 964 player in the nation, the No. 78 running back, and the No. 23 player in Maryland.

Wisconsin is in the running alongside schools like Maryland, Tennessee, Boston College, Syracuse, Charlotte, and several others. However, UW is seemingly in the driver’s seat, as a Crystal Ball prediction was placed for UW to land the three-star tailback.

Ituka would be an excellent addition to fill the depth chart after Allen and Mellusi likely move on following the 2023 season.

Wisconsin Football Target, Four-star CB Omilio Agard

Wisconsin has added multiple players to fill out the secondary, including Kahmir Prescott, Vernon Woodward, and Raphael Dunn. However, their biggest secondary prospect, Omilio Agard, seems to be on the cusp of joining Wisconsin.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound cornerback is the No. 325 player in the nation, the No. 27 CB, and the No. 6 player in Pennsylvania, according to 247Sports.

Agard has fielded offers from top schools like Clemson, Penn State, and Tennessee, but multiple recruiting services have forecasted the four-star prospect to commit to UW. A player of his caliber would be a massive boost to the Wisconsin football program’s secondary.

Wisconsin Football Target, Four-star EDGE Anelu Lafaele

Wisconsin is looking to bolster its defensive line in the 2024 cycle. One of their top targets, Anelu Lafaele, is a perfect candidate to fill in that depth.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Lafaele is the No. 498 player in the country, the No. 35 EDGE, and the No. 2 player in Hawaii.

UW has seemingly put itself in a position as the team to beat. The four-star prospect took an official visit to Wisconsin on June 2nd and just wrapped up an official with Hawaii. A decision is coming in July, and Wisconsin is the odds-on favorite. Multiple services have made predictions for the standout from Hawaii to land in Madison.

If those predictions ring true, UW will be getting an immediate difference maker on the defensive front.

Final Thoughts

The past few weeks have seen a whirlwind of commits, and the new regime is just getting started.

The Wisconsin football program will host several top targets in the coming weeks as the official visit season chugs along. If UW can keep up its current pace, a top-20 recruiting class is well within reach.

As it stands, Wisconsin has the No. 15 recruiting class in the country. Expect that to change very soon as more commits come through.
