After five seasons with the Wisconsin Badgers football team, inside linebacker Tate Grass has decided it’s time to move on.

In a post on Instagram, the redshirt senior from Holmen, Wisconsin, announced he wouldn’t use his extra season of eligibility and instead move on to the next chapter of his life.

“Incredibly grateful for the last five years in Madison and all the relationships made along the way,” Grass wrote. “Excited to see what life has in store for me outside of ball.”

Wisconsin Football LB Tate Grass Moving on From the Badgers

Wisconsin football inside linebacker Tate Grass has been a core special teamer and depth piece at inside linebacker for the past couple of years. He began his career at UW as a walk-on in 2018 under Paul Chryst.

Grass was a member of the Wisconsin Badgers two-deep at inside backer in each of the past two seasons and appeared in 45 games during his career. He registered 43 tackles, three pressures, and one tackle for loss across 224 defensive snaps.

Best of luck to Tate Grass in whatever comes next for the in-state product and multiple-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
