One of the top Wisconsin football defensive recruiting targets, 2024 four-star cornerback Omillio Agard from Philidelphia, Pennslyvania, took to Twitter on Friday to declare that he’d be announcing his commitment on July 1, which happens to be his 18th birthday.

Currently, he holds offers from UW, Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Miami (FL), Oklahoma, USC, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Penn State, and others.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports composite rankings, Agard is the No. 30 CB in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 8 player in Pennslyvania. During his junior season at St. Josephs Prep, he registered 35 tackles, 15 pass deflections, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles.

Wisconsin Football Looks Like the Favorite for Omillio Agard

At this time, reporting suggests that the 5-foot-10, 165-pound corner is down to a “final two” of Wisconsin and Clemson. However, after taking an official visit to Madison on June 9, recruiting analysts such as Steve Wiltfong, Brian Dohn, Evan Flood, and Jon McNamara have all placed predictions for Agard to wind up with the Wisconsin football program.

Should he decide to Jump Around in Madison for the next 4-5 years, he would become the third-highest-rated recruit in the 2024 recruiting class, behind only four-star tight end Grant Stec and four-star offensive tackle Kevin Heywood.

Agard has good hips, can change direction quickly, and has the foot speed to mirror opponents on the boundary or from the slot. Overall, he looks like an instinctual, playmaking corner prospect with a ton of upside.

Wisconsin football safeties coach/co-defensive coordinator Colin Hitschler is becoming a stud recruiter on the East Coast, and that narrative need not get lost in the shuffle.
