Even though four-star cornerback Omillio Agard from Philidelphia, Pennslyvania, hadn’t been on campus until his official visit this past weekend, he left the Wisconsin football program feeling right at home.

Luke Fickell and safeties coach Colin Hitschler have had a relationship with Agard dating back to their time at Cincinnati. However, he had Power 5 dreams on his mind. But now that they’re at the University of Wisconsin, he thought it might be worth reconsidering their offer.

“They’ve been recruiting me since freshman year,” Agard told 247Sports. “They really never left contact with me, even when I dropped my top schools. Coach Hitsch is from Philly. He knows everything about me, my coaches, my family, everything around here. It’s easy to connect with him. I relate to him so much.”

According to the industry-generated 247Sports composite rankings, Agard is the No. 30 CB in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 8 player in Pennslyvania. During his junior season at St. Josephs Prep, he registered 35 tackles, 15 pass deflections, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles.

After dropping a top 10 list that didn’t include Wisconsin, it appears that the Badgers coaching staff did enough to flip the script and could be quickly moving towards a commitment from the Pennslyvania native, whose now deciding between them and Clemson.

Wisconsin Football Is Trending for the Four-Star Cornerback

Shortly after his official visit, Omillio Agard picked up a crystal ball prediction from Wisconsin football insider Evan Flood with a confidence of “8.” He also got a future cast prediction from Jon McNamara of Rivals.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound corner might not fit the mold of recent additions to the secondary, but that’s because Agard is an upper-echelon prospect you take regardless of measurables.

Agard has good hips, can change direction quickly, and has the foot speed to mirror opponents on the boundary or from the slot. Overall, he looks like an instinctual, playmaking corner prospect with a ton of upside.

As it stands, he has offers from UW, Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Miami (FL), Oklahoma, USC, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Penn State, and others.

He’s expected to make his decision official at the beginning of July, and there’s a good chance Wisconsin football fans will be landing a blue-chip cornerback in its 2024 recruiting class.
