It’s been a busy couple of days for the Wisconsin Badgers football program on the recruiting trail.

But Badgernotes.com can help get you back up to speed with a quick roundup of the Badgers news you may have missed.

Wisconsin Football Makes the Cut for 2025 OT Matty Augustine.

It didn’t take long for the Wisconsin football team’s new offensive line coach AJ Blazek to put the Badgers in position for one of the top recruits in Connecticut.

On Wednesday, high three-star offensive tackle Matty Augustine revealed his top five schools on social media, and the Badgers made the cut alongside Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Penn State.

Augustine is considered the No. 393 player in the country and the No. 32 offensive tackle in his class. The 6-foot-7, 290-pound lineman has visited Madison three times unofficially, with his most recent coming in February.

It’s worth noting that Augustine has several crystal ball predictions about landing with the Irish, but with spots starting to fill up there (thanks, Owen Strebig), there’s a chance Wisconsin football could make a push.

Wisconsin Football Lands Crystal Ball for 2025 Edge Rusher

Coming off a junior day visit to Madison, the Wisconsin football program appears to be the leader in the clubhouse for a 2025 edge rusher

Badgers recruiting insiders have placed crystal ball predictions for Samuel Lateju, out of New Jersey, to wind up at Wisconsin.

“It was a wholesome experience,” Lateju told Badgernotes. “Madison has a lot to offer both academically and for football. The coaches are very welcoming and run a similar defense to what I’m used to.”

Lateju is considered the No. 66 EDGE in the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 24 player in New Jersey. He holds scholarship offers from Pitt, Duke, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Maryland, West Virginia, and Boston College.

Badgers to Get an Official Visit From a 2025 4-Star OLB

Another high-profile recruit Wisconsin football made an impression on was four-star outside linebacker Jayden Woods from Shawnee, Kansas.

“Wisconsin’s defensive scheme truly benefits outside linebackers for the NFL,” Woods told Badgernotes. “And the Badgers coaching staff seems very genuine.”

Woods saw enough that he plans to take an official visit to Madison on the weekend of June 1, he confirmed to Badgernotes.com

According to composite rankings, Woods is the No. 145 recruit in the 2025 recruiting class, the No. 14 edge rusher, and the No. 4 player in the state of Kansas.

Woods currently holds 32 total scholarship offers, most notably from Alabama, Florida, Iowa, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, USC, and Texas A&M, among others.
