The Wisconsin Badgers football team could be on the verge of adding its first defensive lineman from the transfer portal.

Former Albany defensive tackle Elijah Hills, who holds an offer from the Badgers, recently took an official visit to Madison and undoubtedly saw a clear path to playing time, given the overall lack of DL depth.

Since entering the transfer portal, Hills has picked up scholarship offers from several schools, including Tulane, Western Kentucky, Coastal Carolina, James Madison, Houston, Western Virginia, and Ball State.

Now, all indications are that Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers coaching staff have put themselves in a good spot to close this thing out.

Wisconsin Football Lands Crystal Ball Prediction for DL Elijah Hills.

On Tuesday morning, the Wisconsin football team picked up a crystal ball from 247Sports recruiting insider Evan Flood for the Badgers to secure the services of veteran defensive lineman Elijah Hills.

Hills stands at 6-foot-2, 281 pounds according to his Albany profile, and has 35 games worth of experience at the FCS level under his belt.

This past season, he finished with 31 tackles, including 15 pressures, 9.0 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks for the Great Danes.

It’s unknown what role he would fill for the Wisconsin football defensive line, but with just one year of eligibility remaining, Hills would most likely slot into Greg Scruggs‘ DL rotation at the bare minimum.
