Kevin Heywood, a highly-touted prospect in the 2024 class, signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.

Heywood joins Colin Cubberly, Emerson Mandell, Derek Jensen, and Ryan Cory in UW’s offensive line haul.

Commitment to the Wisconsin Football Program

Kevin Heywood comes in as the third-highest-rated prospect in Wisconsin’s 2024 class, behind only Dilin Jones and Dillan Johnson. After a standout senior year, Heywood accepted an invite to the All-American Bowl.

The Royersford, Pennsylvania native was a coveted prospect, holding 27 total offers during his recruitment. Schools including Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, USC, Texas A&M, Kentucky, and many others were vying for Heywood’s services, but Wisconsin was able to beat those programs out.

Wisconsin will have Jack Nelson, Nolan Rucci, Riley Mahlman, and others returning at tackle next season. Heywood has the opportunity to push for playing time early — and by all accounts — he has the tools to do so, making him a young player to watch in 2024.
