Wisconsin Football Offers In-State Recruit & Other Badgers News
Following a “dead period” on the recruiting trail, things are ramping back up in the 2024 recruiting class for the Wisconsin Badgers football team.
Luke Fickell and his coaching staff, currently holding 21 commitments in the 2024 cycle, are looking for potential late bloomers worth adding — and it appears the Badgers have identified an intriguing option in their own backyard.
After taking a game-day visit to Madison this past weekend, the Wisconsin Badgers offered in-state wide receiver Cameron Russell out of Milwaukee (WI).

Russell is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wideout who plays for the Marquette University Hilltoppers. Russell’s offer (PWO?) from Wisconsin football is his first known Division One offer.
Wisconsin Football Makes the Cut for a 2025 4-Star Running Back.
In other Wisconsin football recruiting news, the Badgers have made the cutdown for 2025 four-star running back Byron Louis out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Louis trimmed his list down to 10 and will move forward with Miami, Penn State, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, USC, Florida State, Oklahoma, and the University of Wisconsin.

According to the industry-generated composite rankings, the 6-foot, 205-pound tailback is the No. 19 ranked RB in the country and the No. 27 player in Florida.
In an interview with Hayes Fawcett, Louis was very complimentary of the Wisconsin football program.
“The best of the best go there,” Louis told On3. “If you wanna play in the league for a long time and do numbers, that’s the best place for you at my position.”
