In case you missed any of the latest Wisconsin Badgers football news, Badgernotes.com has you covered with a roundup of the top storylines.

Wisconsin Football Hires DL Coach E.J. Whitlow

Wisconsin found its replacement for former defensive line coach Greg Scruggs, who left the program for the same job at Michigan, by hiring former Air Force DL coach E.J. Whitlow.

Whitlow brings 13 years of experience with 11 years spent as a defensive line coach. In his most recent stint with Air Force, Whitlow was a key part in helping a Falcons defense that was No. 1 in total defense (254.5 ypg), No. 3 in scoring defense (13.4 ppg), and the No. 6 rushing defense (95.3 ypg) in 2022.

On the recruiting front, Whitlow has some ties in the Midwest, earning commitments from prospects in states including Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Iowa.

The new Badgers coach has also overseen players such as Matthew Judon, Ivan Pace, and Dominique Robinson during his tenures at Grand Valley State and Miami (Ohio).

Whitlow will inherit a defensive line room with returning contributors James Thompson, Gio Paez, and Ben Barten, plus some underclassmen, including Jamel Howard, Ernest Willor Jr, and Dillan Johnson. He’ll look to bring the room back to expectations after the Badgers defensive front produced just 59 pressures and 4.5 sacks last season.

Wisconsin Badgers Offer Four-Star RB Out of New Jersey

The Badgers dished out a new offer in the 2025 cycle on Friday. Four-star RB John Forster, a New Jersey native, announced he had picked up an offer from Wisconsin on social media.

According to the composite rankings, Forster is the No. 303 player in the nation, the No. 26 RB, and the No. 9 player in his home state.

Wisconsin has had plenty of success recruiting running backs out of New Jersey, with players including Johnathan Taylor, Ron Dayne, Corey Clement, and Jalen Berger (though he is no longer with the program) hailing from the Garden State.

Wisconsin isn’t wasting any time getting the four-star tailback on campus, as Forster confirmed to Badgernotes.com that he will make his way to Madison on April 6th for a visit during UW’s fourth spring practice. This recruitment will be one to monitor as the Badgers battle against programs, including Tennessee, Syracuse, Rutgers, West Virginia, and Illinois, among others, for a commitment from Forster.

Wisconsin Football Set to Host Four-Star ATH on Spring Visit

Four-star ATH Cameron Miller, who included the Badgers in his top five, announced on social media that he would be in Madison for a recruiting visit on March 22nd.

The Badgers made the list of finalists alongside Michigan, Rutgers, Kentucky, and Syracuse a few weeks back, and UW will be first in line on Miller’s schedule before he heads to Lexington.

According to the composite rankings, Miller is the No. 287 player in the nation, the No. 30 CB, and the No. 8 player in New Jersey. It’s worth noting Wisconsin is recruiting Miller as a receiver despite him being listed as a cornerback.

New Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver coach Kenny Guiton will have the task of selling Miller on the team’s vision to have him play wideout at the next level. With Guiton’s strong reputation in receiver recruiting, this will be one to watch going forward.
