Wisconsin Football Lands Commitment from 3-Star EDGE Nicolas Clayton
The Badgers are continuing a strong recruiting month.
The Wisconsin football program kept its June recruiting momentum rolling by adding yet another commit to the 2025 class on Saturday.
Three-star EDGE Nicolas Clayton, a Florida native, announced his commitment to UW over Florida State, UCF, Tulane, and Nebraska, among others.
According to the composite rankings, Clayton is the No. 663 player in the country, the No. 52 EDGE, and the No. 90 player in Florida.
Clayton took an official visit to UW on June 7th before completing trips to UCF and Florida State in the following weeks. The Seminoles made a strong push near the end for Clayton, but UW was able to outlast them and secure the 21st commitment in the 2025 class.
In his junior year at F. W. Buchholz High School, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound EDGE rusher recorded 52 tackles, 8.0 TFLs, three sacks, and two forced fumbles.
Matt Mitchell has done a great job in this cycle by landing some top-of-the-board targets, and Clayton now joins Samuel Lateju and Brenden Anes in Wisconsin’s 2025 outside linebacker class.
With Clayton now on board, Wisconsin football holds 21 commitments in the 2025 cycle, which currently ranks as the No. 11 recruiting class in the country per the composite rankings.
