Wisconsin Football Lands Commitment from 2024 Four-Star Offensive Lineman

Wisconsin Badgers football stadium: Camp Randall

The Wisconsin football program picked up yet another offensive line commit in the 2024 cycle on Tuesday afternoon.

Four-star OT Emerson Mandell took to Twitter to announce his commitment.

Mandell is the fifth offensive line commit in the 2024 cycle for Wisconsin. On top of that, he’s the second-highest-rated lineman in the class behind Kevin Heywood.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Mandell is the No. 294 player in the nation, the No. 24 OT, and the No. 1 player in Minnesota.

Wisconsin beat out offers from Penn State, Minnesota, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and many more. With the commitment, UW has now poached the No. 1 player in Minnesota for the third time in the last five years.

What Wisconsin Football is Getting with Emerson Mandell

Mandell is likely the cherry on top of the offensive line commits in the 2024 cycle, and he’s a big addition.

The four-star prospect is as physical as they come. Mandell has top-end strength to pair with quick hands at the point of contact. The 6-foot-5, 315-pound lineman finishes blocks with ease and uses his leverage to be a brick wall against opposing defenders.

Mandell will slot in nicely with the group of linemen Wisconsin has already brought in. With his skill set, he could immediately compete for reps and be a big difference-maker down the line.

The Wisconsin football program now holds 16 commits in the 2024 cycle. Mandell joins Kevin Heywood, Derek Jensen, Ryan Cory, and Colin Cubberly as the offensive line commits in what’s quickly becoming a standout class for Luke Fickell and company.
