Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football coaching staff have a weapon on offense that no one is talking about.

That’s because the Badgers finished spring practice and came away impressed with the new-look offense led by Phil Longo and his “air raid” passing attack. A rebuilt quarterback room and a long list of talent pass catchers that includes transfers Will Pauling and CJ Williams stole the show and pushed their way into the first-team offense.

But arguably, one of the best and most important players in Wisconsin’s stable of weapons is Oklahoma State transfer Bryson Green, who sat out due to injury.

Remember him? Because it seems as though people have already forgotten about him.

Wisconsin football has all the tools it needs to succeed on offense

In case you need a reminder, Bryson Green, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound WR, appeared in 11 games with the Cowboys in 2022, registering 36 catches for 584 yards and five touchdowns.

Although Chimere Dike, CJ Williams, and Will Pauling ended spring as the first-team pass catchers, I firmly believe that Green will insert himself into the top group and play more snaps than Skyler Bell and Keontez Lewis, who together make up a dangerous 1-6 that’s all capable of making plays for the Wisconsin football team next season.

I’d just like to go on the record stating there’s a non-zero chance Green could even become Wisconsin’s WR1 will a clean bill of health.

Green is the type of big-bodied possession receiver and red-zone weapon that will make for a nice safety blanket for Tanner Mordecai to lean on as the offense finds its footing.

He joins the Wisconsin football program with two years of eligibility remaining and has somehow managed to become the forgotten weapon the Badgers will have this fall that nobody is talking about.
