The Wisconsin football program is charging ahead this offseason. With spring practice nearing its end, the Badgers coaching staff has been leveraging this time to bring targets onto campus, forge connections, and lay the groundwork for the 2025 recruiting class.

These recruiting endeavors are yielding results, with the additions of Grant Dean and Cam Clark in recent weeks. Now, another significant development may be on the horizon in the 2025 class at cornerback.

Wisconsin football has garnered a Futurecast prediction from Rivals recruiting inside Greg Smith, favoring their landing of 2025 four-star cornerback Mason Alexander, who has an official visit scheduled with the Badgers for the weekend of May 31st.

Wisconsin Football Well-Positioned to Land Four-Star Cornerback Mason Alexander

Standing at 6-foot, 180 pounds, Alexander is the nation’s No. 300 overall prospect, the No. 30 cornerback, and the No. 5 player in Indiana, per the industry-generated recruiting rankings.

While Alexander has no set public commitment date, all indications suggest the Hamilton Southeastern High School standout is inching closer to a decision. Right now, Wisconsin football, Purdue, and Tennessee are considered the programs to beat in this recruitment.

The Badgers have utilized several staff members in the pursuit of Alexander, including Paul Haynes, Alex Grinch, Matt Mitchell, and Pat Lambert, all actively involved in communication efforts.

With that in mind, the latest Futurecast indicates that Wisconsin football, which has the nation’s No. 17 class, could be the frontrunner in securing the commitment of this four-star defensive back.
