Several college football games were played on Saturday. Plus, whatever the University of Wisconsin football program did with the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Wisconsin Badgers fell to Iowa 15-6 and lost a crucial tiebreaker over the Hawkeyes in the battle for the Big Ten West division title. It was a no-good day on the field, but a great day for reading hot takes on these here internets.

Wisconsin Football Fans Rip the Badgers Offense

Iowa’s offense recorded a mere nine first downs, six pass completions, and 13 points but still came away with the victory. The Hawkeyes defense proved too much for backup quarterback Braedyn Locke. The Mississippi State transfer started the second half in relief for the injured Tanner Mordecai but only led the offense to two field goals.

The Iowa – Wisconsin Football Rivalry is a Beautiful Disaster

Do you know the old adage about not being able to look away from a car crash? One Saturday a year, for three hours, I watch the car crash/dumpster fire/REAL FOOTBALL game that is the battle for the Hartland Trophy. I love and hate it; I cannot look away from it. But do not just take my word for it, listen to these other internet strangers who agree.

Wisconsin Football Fans Are Sad or Mad or Both

Badgers fans made my job easy this week. Sometimes, searching for good content for this post takes a little while. But when Wisconsin loses a game like this, my job is a little easier. Thank you for using the internet to get out your feelings, Wisconsin football fans.

Badgers fans wanted a change in the coaching staff because they knew the program had problems. No coach should be expected to fix every problem in a program in just one offseason. Although head coach Luke Fickell does not have the program where fans were hoping to be, there are six more weeks of regular season college football to go. It might not be what fans want to hear now, but patience might just be all this team needs.
