Wisconsin Football Fans Are Furious After Badgers 15-6 Loss to Iowa
The Badgers took a devastating loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes and Wisconsin football fans are not having a good time.
Several college football games were played on Saturday. Plus, whatever the University of Wisconsin football program did with the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Wisconsin Badgers fell to Iowa 15-6 and lost a crucial tiebreaker over the Hawkeyes in the battle for the Big Ten West division title. It was a no-good day on the field, but a great day for reading hot takes on these here internets.
Wisconsin Football Fans Rip the Badgers Offense
Iowa’s offense recorded a mere nine first downs, six pass completions, and 13 points but still came away with the victory. The Hawkeyes defense proved too much for backup quarterback Braedyn Locke. The Mississippi State transfer started the second half in relief for the injured Tanner Mordecai but only led the offense to two field goals.
Who is this Badgers qb who has no idea how to avoid a rush?

This badger offense may be the worst they've had since the 90's #badgers

I miss fullbacks.

This Badgers offensive line can't really play this system right now.
The problem is that they also couldn't playast year's system.

Why this new Badgers coach isn’t running the goddam ball with one of the best running backs in the country is truly baffling. Dumb ass coaching just because he wants to implement HIS scheme when he doesn’t have to players he needs for an air raid. Baffling really. @BadgerFootball
— Shaggy’s Revenge (@Funkyfresh197) October 14, 2023
The Air Raid system is a bust. Consider a game plan with this personnel, not some imaginary team Longo wants to have. Losing RB 1 and a banged up RB 0 doesn’t help and now losing our QB. Time to consider 2 and 3 TE sets and just run the ball. Locke is not an accurate thrower yet.

The Iowa – Wisconsin Football Rivalry is a Beautiful Disaster
Do you know the old adage about not being able to look away from a car crash? One Saturday a year, for three hours, I watch the car crash/dumpster fire/REAL FOOTBALL game that is the battle for the Hartland Trophy. I love and hate it; I cannot look away from it. But do not just take my word for it, listen to these other internet strangers who agree.
This was legitimately better than anything in the 1st half. pic.twitter.com/jhPyuSGQ8I

Badgers are really going to lose this game because of Iowa’s punter smh

Still not as bad as the 10-6 loss in 2015

Wisconsin Football Fans Are Sad or Mad or Both
Badgers fans made my job easy this week. Sometimes, searching for good content for this post takes a little while. But when Wisconsin loses a game like this, my job is a little easier. Thank you for using the internet to get out your feelings, Wisconsin football fans.
It’s clear Longo and Tressel are not ready for Big Ten Football. Pathetic play calling and horrible execution.

Longo is Wrongo again. Badgers O-Line stink, Run D is soft…. the West is trash feom top to bottom. Happy for Deacon.

Badgers the absolute kings of shooting themselves in the their own foot.
— Michael Riley (@magicmikeriley1) October 14, 2023
Badgers fans wanted a change in the coaching staff because they knew the program had problems. No coach should be expected to fix every problem in a program in just one offseason. Although head coach Luke Fickell does not have the program where fans were hoping to be, there are six more weeks of regular season college football to go. It might not be what fans want to hear now, but patience might just be all this team needs.
I’ll say this for Iowa- I respect the heck out of them, but I admire Mac far more for wanting more than guaranteed 8 games and no shot at championship relevancy.
Stay patient, Badger fans! We’ll get there.
