Wisconsin Football Expected to Land Dynamic 2024 Four-Star EDGE-Rusher
Since the Paul Chryst regime, the Wisconsin football program has been after four-star EDGE rusher Anelu Lafaele on the recruiting trail.
According to 247Sports, Lafaele is the No. 17 EDGE rusher in the country and the No. 2 player in Hawaii.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound pass rusher out of St. Louis High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, released a top seven list of Arizona State, Hawaii, Notre Dame, Oregon State, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin. He later announced that he planned to announce his commitment on July 1.
And after taking an official visit to Madison on June 2, it’s looking like the Badgers might have found their pass-rusher to pair next to Thomas Heiberger in the 2024 class.
Madison is for REAL! Thank you to the coaches, staff, & players for an amazing time 💯 🦡 #officialvisit @BadgerFootball @CoachFick @Coach_Mitch_ @CoachMikeTress @_maximus347 @PatLambert13 @IkaikaAthletics @tjlafaele pic.twitter.com/FXNxjoK5Er

Wisconsin Football Is Trending for the Four-Star OLB
Even before his official visit, Anelu Lafaele picked up a crystal ball prediction from Wisconsin football insider Evan Flood with a confidence of “6.” He also got a future cast prediction from Jon McNamara of Rivals, further driving home the point that his pairing with the Badgers could make an ideal pairing.
His twitchiness, athleticism, and strength bull-rushing make him an incredibly high-upside recruit that makes a ton of sense for this coaching staff.
From everything I’ve heard, this recruitment will come down to Wisconsin or choosing to be the hometown hero and staying home to play for Hawaii, which nobody could fault him for.
Junior Season Highlights! THANKFUL & BLESSED to share the field with my Brothers 🔵🔴 #STL #11OLB #AG2G @BrandonHuffman @bangulo @GregBiggins @IkaikaAthletics pic.twitter.com/PKPWkRZkBL

Wisconsin’s tradition of churning out linebackers like a factory and getting them to the NFL should help tip the scales in their favor in the end.
