The busy month of recruiting news for the Wisconsin football team in June continues every day with prospects announcing their commitments after taking official visits.

3-star EDGE Nicolas Clayton is poised to announce his commitment in the coming days.

Clayton visited Wisconsin on June 7th and left the weekend saying, ‘My family and I were truly impressed with what you guys are building!’

Since his visit to Madison, Clayton has officially visited Tulane and has most recently visited ACC powerhouse, Florida State this past weekend.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Clayton is a 3-star EDGE. He is the 974th-ranked player in the country, 70th at his position, and the 124th-overall player in the state of Florida.

He has 26 Division I offers, according to 247Sports, including offers from Wisconsin, Florida State, Tulane, USC, Nebraska, and Michigan State, among others.

The dynamic edge rusher hasn’t released any top teams, but Wisconsin football is assumed to be one of the final teams he is considering.

Currently, the Wisconsin football team is sitting firmly as the No. 12 team in the country in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings. A commitment from Clayton would keep them there, but close the gap between them and Rutgers for No. 11.
