The Wisconsin football program had a busy recruiting weekend during Saturday’s matchup with Ohio State. Loads of 2025 talent made their way to Madison to take in the Badgers in person, some for their first times and some on return visits.

Nino Hill, an Ohio native, was in attendance for the conference clash, marking his third trip to Madison.

“(The visit) went great. I had a good time up there,” Hill told BadgerNotes. “The energy stood out to me the most. I loved it.”

Hill’s return trip served as an opportunity to see the Badgers in action after making it to Madison multiple times during the summer. The Ohio native took home MVP honors during his first visit to a camp in June, and made another stop in early August. After finally seeing UW on the field, Hill had plenty of good things to say.

“It was wonderful. The crowd was electrifying,” Hill said. “The atmosphere was crazy, but I enjoyed it a lot.”

The McKinley High School product has kept in contact with Wisconsin football for several months now. Hill’s third trip to Madison allowed him to continue to build his relationship with the coaching staff.

“I talked to coach Spalding. We had a nice little conversation before the game,” Hill told BadgerNotes.

There’s some mutual interest between the two parties, and Hill has remained confident that he’ll be offered by Luke Fickell and company. Though an offer hasn’t come through just yet, the Ohio native came away from his visit with plenty of interest.

“(The visit) impacted it a lot,” Hill said when asked if the visit had impacted his interest in UW. “They show a lot of love. I would consider going up there. I can see myself in Madison.”

Hill currently holds offers from Toledo, Akron, Miami of Ohio, and UMass while also fielding interest from Kentucky, Pitt, Purdue, and several others. It’s shaping up to be a busy fall for the 6-foot, 215-pound tailback.

“I have Purdue, Kentucky, James Madison, Ohio, and a couple others,” Hill said when asked about other stops he plans to make.

Hill isn’t looking at making a decision in the near future and will take his recruitment day by day. However, he seemingly has a rough timeframe set for his commitment down the line.

“Before going in to my senior year, so not that far from now,” Hill told BadgerNotes.

As it stands, the Wisconsin football program holds two commitments in the 2025 recruiting class from Landyn Locke and Remington Moss.
